The illustration at the heart of this suite was inspired by the kind of manor houses that dot the wine-growing hills around Bratislava in Slovakia — grand, slightly weathered, and steeped in centuries of history. One of the most storied examples is the Pálffy Manor in Svätý Jur, rebuilt into a Renaissance residence in the early 1600s by Katarína Pálffy and her husband Štefan Ilešházy, whose love story — long separations, hardships, and a devotion that never faded — is still celebrated at the manor today through a pair of bronze statues in its courtyard.

It's the kind of story that doesn't always make it into the history books — a marriage that rebuilt a manor house, and a devotion still standing, in bronze, centuries later. Whether or not your own wedding takes place somewhere with quite this much history, there's something irresistibly romantic about an invitation that carries the feeling of a centuries-old manor — roses climbing the walls, a courtyard bathed in golden light, and a crest that feels like it has always belonged to your family.

The cover of this folio is crafted in our Moss velvet (Colour 04) — a deep, slightly muted green with warm undertones, closer to the colour of old garden hedges than a bright spring green. It's a colour that feels grounded and a little romantic at once, and it provides the perfect backdrop for the gold-foiled heraldic crest stamped onto the front cover. The first is clear acrylic, foil-pressed in ornate gold detailing so the wording seems to float above the velvet beneath it — a sleek, almost weightless look that pairs beautifully with the antique design around it.

For couples with more information to share than a single insert can hold, a velvet mini-book is available as an optional add-on. Made from the same moss velvet as the cover, it tucks neatly into the folio alongside your main invitation — giving you a few extra pages for a full itinerary, accommodation details, dress code, or anything else your guests might need to know, all without breaking the antique, storybook feel of the suite.
